Internship Communication and Email Organization

This project involved managing internship-related communications, job alerts, and essential updates using Gmail. The goal was to maintain a well-organized and efficient email workflow to stay on top of job opportunities, application statuses, and professional updates. 

Work Done
  • Regularly monitored and responded to emails from internship coordinators (e.g., Excelerate).
  • Categorized emails using custom labels such as “ALX Programme,” “LinkedIn Notifications,” “Finance & Invoices,” “Web3 Jobs,” etc., to improve retrieval and organization.
  • Sorted emails by category (Primary, Promotions, Social) and used search and filter features to prioritize urgent tasks.
  • Managed alerts from platforms like LinkedIn Jobs, UBA, Jobscan, and Wellfound for job tracking and application follow-ups.
  • Downloaded and reviewed attached documents such as internship onboarding materials and newsletters.
Tool Used
Gmail (Google Mail) was used for all communication, organization, and task tracking related to job search and internship management.
 
Outcome
This setup allowed for a structured email environment that improved responsiveness to opportunities, minimized missed deadlines, and ensured a professional approach to internship and job applications.
